The purpose of the Louisiana Environmental Action Network (LEAN) is to foster cooperation and communication between individual citizens and corporate and government organizations in an effort to assess and mend the environmental problems in Louisiana. LEAN's goal is the creation and maintenance of a cleaner and healthier environment for all of the inhabitants of this state

The United Houma Nation is composed of very proud and independent people who have close ties to the water and land of their ancestors. The unique history of our people has shaped our tribe today. The culture and way of life are a lifeline to that history.

Baton Rouge Youth Coalition (BRYC) supports under-resourced students in pursuing post-secondary degrees, addressing educational inequities. With 670 alumni and 200 degrees facilitated, BRYC achieves an 83% college persistence rate—5.5 times the national average for lower-income youth. Connecting high school seniors with community volunteers, BRYC guides them through college applications and financial aid processes.
